Backlighting is great and can be made to look as ridiculous as you'd like, however my keyboard backlighting will probably be staying at dim red, as I think that's ideal. I did try to change the color of individual keys but I wasn't able to find the option.
I like the coating on the keys, although I'm not sure what it is. It gives the keys a nice grip while still being smooth to the touch. They're also pleasantly quiet.
Packaging was bare-bones if you're into that sort of thing (doesn't bother me).
