SokoDepends on your purpose. I would never go with tube headphone amps, because they alter the sound with distorting the signal. Ideal purpose of an headphone amp is to drive the signal coming from your source to your headphones without getting in the way. I suggest XDuoo XD-05 amp & DAC, or if your budget allows, buy an Objective2 amp and ODAC Rev B, which is superior to XDuoo XD-05.

Dear friend, first of all calm your tits down a bit please :) In the audiophile world nobody can/could/would prevent the others where to leave their wallet at. $50.000 for an equipment might sound expensive, but trust me it is not. Me, as a very very fortunate guy who had been to some quality mastering studios, had some chances to play with way pricier equipment. If there is a demand from the community, companies like Sennheiser or any other, will fulfill the desire of their customers. There is a lot to talk about the history of tube-rolling or such but this is not the place to discuss, but, just for your information, there are more stable and cheaper (which means better for anyone on a budget) ways to alter the sound coming from your amp. Other headphones(!), equalizers, stereo wideners, exciters, multi-band compressors.. and the list goes on.. There are even maaany free and paid software which can replicate and reproduce the tubes' character on a computer domain as a standalone or plug-in. After all, spending $50k for a tube headphone amp? If you got the money and like the hot looks, sure! Why not? :)

tubes do color the sound that's why people use tubes I have had tube stereo, headphone and guitar amps and yes they distort the sound. Not all distortion is bad, most people think distortion sounds like a ruined speaker which is not the case on good tube amps. The term Audiophile is the biggest joke in the industry anybody who likes and listens to music and dabbles in gear is an audiophile  and its your own opinion that matters price does not, if it sounds good to you then who the fuck cares what u spend on gear. And yes I can and have spent thousands on equipment
