This product sounds very bad ! better to wait the xduoo XD-05 again
There are quite a few reviewers and happy users of this product that would disagree with this statement....BUT....sound is completely subjective....as long as you have something you love listening to, it's all good.
Good sound is important. We strive to deliver that every time with every product we make.
Not really, sounds could be very objective. this product sounds good if you start from nowhere... comparing with a direct sound from any smartphone, it's good, but, for the price, you can find really better (TEAC, XDUOO and of course OPPO but it costs 100USD more). So, this product doesn't worth the money. The XDUOO is often on Massdrop with a good price. It's really better (almost as good as the OPPO) and you have to go to an ifi micro idsd or a chord mojo to be really better.
Again, you're making subjective statements that lie in direct contradiction with several others who have purchased and used the product.
You're speaking solely of output quality (which is subjective outside of direct measurements..where we stack up quite well) and not of the other features that the E5 offers alongside the quality output which the other products you refer too don't offer.
For some, that may not be useful or beneficial (such as in your case), but for others they the additional features to be quite useful and handy.
That's the reason why there are multiple offerings for people to choose from in the market.
Please dont pass rubbish statements like this unless you have personally tried it.
Blanket statements like yours mislead many people into buying gear they dont need.
I can bet you this sounds almost as good or same as most if not all other ss amp/dac. Also from my experience sound cards have come such a long way they actually offer better value for most people especially if you want the dsp features.
Personally I would choose this over the xduoo.
Fyi I am speaking from experience owning/trying multiple different headphones and amps/dac.
I can say the same about your statement. I had this gear and was very disappointed with. Doesn't sound better than the internal dac of my iphone... I had the xduoo too and it was really better (at least for me) with my B&W P5 and my, AKG K701. Now that I have finally bought a High End Headphone (Audeze LCD-XC), I had to go to something more in ad-equation with it but the price is not comparable. Any, on my side, I cannot advise this dac/amp
In the end sound is subjective and if you are happy/satisfied with your set up that is all that matters. Glad you got something you are happy with.
