Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. Such a weird product, there's even a tiny speaker amp in it. And price is so cheap. That said, people should try to feed it with big batteries (like 2x car battery). It should be like night and day regarding audio quality.
Even Creative offers a pricey power supply upgrade for this product (even if it’s still a smps).
Batteries can be a cheap way to have a perfect power supply with high amp draw and very limited noise and ripple. I cannot certify it will be magical but I think it should be at least as good as the Creative power supply upgrade and it’s definitely worth a try.
But as the previous post, it's lots of DIY work and it can be painfull to manage many batteries charging everywhere. It won't interest lots of people.
