So, vanity question. I really like the idea of the device, but have to admit I'm one of those anti-logo everything-should-be-matte-black types. I can cover the logo plate on the top, and I think I can live with the brushed look and ignore the LEDs (not my thing). But that shine-through indicator on the grill - in the pics, that's shown as on. Does it turn off after a time? Please tell me it doesn't display all the time.

j.a.lThe display times out after a few seconds and does indeed turn off.
The metal finishing is closer to black than a typical "brushed aluminum" finish, definitely was designed to be discreet.
In regards to the lighting... It can be turned off and there are other modes like "theater" mode that act as a bias lighting versus desktop "bling" as well.
