You guys crack me up over the steel used. It's a quality knife with decent steel at this price point. Looks awesome. Maybe they will come out with a higher priced option. Maybe it would be nice if that was an option.

crowleykirkHow do you know it's a quality knife? The Natrix copper is a perfect example of what should have been awesome but turns out it kinda blows. Without a proper review, knowing full well the steel is amongst the lowest quality junk available and a retarded price point because bearings. I'll be passing.

crowleykirkI don't have a problem with 8cr in sub $30 knives but there are just so many knives coming out far cheaper than $60 that have D2 or sandvik or vg10 or even 9cr that it's hard to justify. It's like when Spyderco tries to sell vg10 collaborations for $200. Nothing wrong with vg10 at $100 or less but for $200 it's weak. They seem to be getting with the times and moving to s30v for those type of knives recently. Crkt should do the same in the low price range or they are going to be swept away by a wave of civivi, tangrams, bestecs and riukes. All of which are cheaper, have better QC AND have better steel than Crkt.
