GianninoI face the same issue as I am in NY and Amazon requires sellers to comply with local laws.

rantngI am also in NY, unfortunately Amazon seems to think that NYC knife laws apply to the whole state, which means I cannot order knives that are perfectly legal to own.

pyrobunnyActually, I am in NYC so the knife laws do apply to me. On that note, I did a little research and it seems all folding knives or "gravity" knives are illegal to even own in NYC, which is ridiculous. Meanwhile, only fixed blade knives over 4" are illegal to carry. Fixed blade knives under 4" are legal to own AND carry, unless you have unlawful intent.

GianninoAs another Aussie I feel you on this. Amazon is useless for us down here.

danbananaFuckin oath dan, they are arent they? All the good shit is all "unable to ship to your location" and on the off chance they have a listing on amazon.com.au the damned thing is inflated to sometimes triple the price. Its a damned joke. Shipping sucks too, I remember back only a few years ago I bought a KABAR off Knifecentre, KABAR = 70USD, shipping = 75USD...... -_- Im glad Knifecentre got their shit together and now its like 20-30USD shipping but Massdrop does it for 10.... soooo someones taking the piss here.

GianninoThe only thing I've ever found at a half decent price on Amazon.au is the Koss KSC75s for $30 with free shipping, everything else is stupidly expensive as you mentioned. In terms of knives I have a list of online knife shops in Aus that have fairly decent prices and shipping but getting the knives you want in stock is very hit or miss.

danbananaHahaha snap! I was looking at those koss ksc75's! But hey if you have some good aus knife sites, post them here, Ill bookmark them and see if they have what I want. If more people buy from them, they might be inclined to buy more stock, everyone wins.

GianninoI hope that you are happy with it. You could have gotten a Bestech Swordfish for the same price. IMNSHO, a much better knife.

14themoneyI am! The only reason Im interested in this PARTICULAR knife is because it really does look like a pen when folded and put in a front pocket which helps with fudging our fucked up zero carry rules. Also Dan, nice list! Haha Ive got cutting edge knives on bookmark, TERRIBLE website layput but good selection.... if you can find it somehow.

GianninoGetting the knife that I want with little or no shipping is a great advantage to living here. I just ordered a Spyderco Spyderhawk in H1 from a company I have never ordered from. (Their prices are higher than others. They looked to be the only ones with any of this sprint run left.) They stuck me for $5.99 S&H and I thot that I was being taken advantage of. Thank you for helping me to see things more clearly. ---------------I'm a bit curious. Do y'all refer to any of the northern countries as the land up over? ------------If it is not asking too much, could you review this knife here after using it for 6-12 months? I would like to know how it functions and holds up. Thanx!
