What if you're a big guy? Isn't the purpose of a Tomahawk is to easily take it off the handle to customize to your liking?

Btw, there's a cheaper CRKT one called the Woods Nobo that's very similar in appearance that you might want to consider as well. That one already has a shorter handle (19") and is marketed as a Tomahawk. No black coating on the blade though, and is about 7oz lighter (another difference why they put call this an axe, not a hawk)
P. S. - it's a fair amount cheaper than this one as well
