Named after the Civet—a slender, nocturnal carnivorous predator native to Africa and Asia—this neck knife is well suited for cutting, day or night. Though it’s designed by Flavio Ikoma, co-creator of the IKBS pivot bearing system, this knife is absent of an opening mechanism Read More
Got mine a few days ago. I have to say, for the price it's a neat little knife. Nice design, no factory flaws, solid feel. Tiny, but definitely useable. Good for a kit, EDC or as backup.
USPS just dropped mine off.
Seriously, this thing is TINY! I can get 2.5 fingers on the handle...
Can someone tell me how to use the....clip...? Sort of C shaped doohickey with c-sink hole and a flathead screw/nut combo... Doesn't seem to fit the knife or the sheath, though the sheath has a single hole of similar R.
This video refers to "belt clip", in which case it's a TERRIBLE design.
SpecialEdScrew works fine, the clip is flexible. I was carrying my Civet this weekend around the house while doing projects, yardwork, etc. and it was very convenient. I tried it in a few different positions. It's also fine to just toss sheathed in a pocket. Just wanted to try it out on my belt.
Never though of gluing it...glue would keep the parts from shifting as you sit/move. And polypropylene is almost impossible to bond effectively with household products.
Got this for my sister, she hikes and camps a lot, she doesn't carry a knife so I thought she needed a small concealable knife for utility and last resort defense. It arrived today and I gave it to her as a surprise. She is really happy with it. Especially since she can carry it around her neck under a layer. She likes it and thinks it's a cute and practical knife.
Totally worth the price and piece of mind knowing she has some extra utility on a daily basis.
