I already have the blue one. This is a great knife. Feels good in the hand, and the ball bearings in the flip really make it smooth. Just letting my friends hold this knife, they ordered them too.
Could we please have less knives, and more actually useful real ultralite hiking & camping gear? What has happened to Drop? Knife after knife after knife after knife after knife - one is quite enough thanks, and they don't even ship internationally. Can we please return to gear that is actually relevant to ultralite? Zpacks, HMG, MLD, Evernew, ... Packs, stoves, quilts, headlamps, parkas, ...
Been looking at this one for what seems like years , it's original blue anyway. That handle it's either going to be very comfortable or out right painful , so coin toss, I guess on the handle. What has stopped me from tossing that coin though is the blade , I like that skinny tanto ( would really like it in something above the standard 8cr) but the billboarding on that skinny tanto , and I'm sure it could be sanded off and buffed back to satin. Who is this advertising for ? For me that's the deal killer with this and many of Columbia River's offerings . I was so close to buying their Avant flipper from Ochs this summer ( a knife that in it's custom offering he didn't see the need to plaster his name or initials across the blade). I wound up grabbing a Backlash instead a wonderful all around piece and a pristine blade , and yeah there's a makers mark, a tasteful little C on the pivot.
Unlike a line from one of Lyle Lovett's song, this is not only ugly from the front, but from and back and the sides, too.

You can tell if you are a real knife aficionado if you noticed the last part of the link is the name of a knife steel.
Klingon came to mind when I saw this. It's just odd enough to be my comfort edc. Not for use, just carry and hold. I think this will fit nicely in my palm, because if the angles
Well. I not beholding this knife 'cause I not bebuying this knife. I can actually appreciate the design, but this is way too angular and the steel is way too crappy(8Cr14) for me to consider forking over $45. I am not being snobby here. I have a lot of Kershaws. But I didn't pay $45 for them, either. I was whittling down part of a door jamb with my Big Blue Sheep knife that I paid $32.75 for at Droop. The blade is 14C28N. It did a good job. The design of the Deviated would have prevented its use in that scenario. Jonas, you are still putting up an occasional good knife deal and I really appreciate that. But posting up this one is, IMNSHO, a real waste of time and electrons.
