KnifeGuyDo you own this knife? This is a fun knife - completely impractical but great for my desk!

ThatGuy333i don't see how it's a terrible knife or why it's impractical. Enlighten me?

jester563I am very happy with the knife, as I love the look. It also came quite sharp and, although it took a while to learn how to flip it open without cutting my fingernail on the sharp edges of the handle (flick your wrist while pressing and it pops open), I now love to flip it open and closed just for the fun of it. :)
The impractical part comes from a couple of factors which I didn't fully appreciate until I had the knife in-hand: The design is fancy/dressy, but it's too big and way too heavy to carry comfortably in a pair of slacks (it's twice as heavy as other knives this size, due to the all metal construction); On the other hand, the pivot needs to be super smooth to open easily (so you don't want to get dirt in it), and the mirror finish on the blade will get damaged if you use it in the back woods. So it's kind of in between for my needs, and mostly serves as a gorgeous box opener. :)
