Pass the Torch, Dad

Dew Hara, son of legendary knifemaker Koji Hara, is taking the reins from dad. His latest creation, the Raikiri, is based on an ancient sword by the same name—one that’s said to have sliced a lightning bolt in two. While this CRKT flipper may not do that, it can do just about everything else, thanks to a wicked 3.8-inch wharncliffe blade made from 1.4116 stainless steel. The handle is rock solid, too. Made from aluminum, it’s got a futuristic pattern carved out for grip and aesthetic appeal. But perhaps the most important feature of the knife is Field Strip Technology. More than 10 years in the making, the technology lets you to take your knife apart in seconds for cleaning. Rounding out the folder is a liner lock., tip-up clip, and flipper tab.
