Whether you’re in the field or on the homefront, this Ken Onion collaboration with CRKT—the Homefront—can be cleaned any time anywhere with new Field Strip technology. More than 10 years in the making, the Homefront can be easily disassembled for cleaning at the flick of a switch. When the knife is closed, push the star switch to the opposite side and spin the wheel at the base of the handle until the scales gradually release. Reassembling the knife is just as easy: Simply reverse the process.
Note: At checkout, choose from the following: Homefront EDC, Homefront Hunter, or Homefront Tactical with glass-reinforced nylon scales; or the original Homefront (+ $30) with 6061 aluminum scales. This drop is limited to 50 units. Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
The Homefront features a 3.5-inch blade made from 1.4116 steel (AUS-8 stainless steel on the original version), which is easy to sharpen and takes a good edge. The blade’s wide-bellied, drop-point shape is great for slicing, and it has a slight recurve for cutting hanging material. Textured for added grip, the handle is made from glass-reinforced nylon, but you can upgrade to the original version for 6061 aluminum scales. Press the flipper tab to effortlessly deploy the blade. Once opened, it locks in place with a liner lock. Attach it to your belt or jeans with the tip-up pocket clip.
