set_floIn the UK, size is irrelevant to legality as it's a locking knife; a 1" blade with a lock would be deemed illegal if carried in a public place without "good reason or lawful authority". Conversely, having a knife with a 6" blade and a lock (or indeed a fixed blade) would be totally legal if you could show "good reason or lawful authority".
A knife with a cutting edge of less than 3 inches that's readily foldable in a public place does not need "good reason".

set_floThese guys are right, and as long as you have a good reason, you're even allowed to carry it in public. My advice would be to have it in a bag or case or something though, because having a flipper lock-blade knife clipped to your pocket is just asking for trouble if questioned by the police.
