The CRKT Pilar is named after the boat that Ernest Hemingway used to spy on German U-boats in the Caribbean during World War II. A Jesper Voxnaes design through and through, the Pilar is what the Danish knifemaker imagined Hemingway would have carried as his everyday folder. Featuring a stout construction, the compact Pilar has a thick 2.4-inch blade made from easy-to-sharpen 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. It pairs with a chunky stainless steel handle for a secure grip that fills the hand, despite the less-than-6-inch frame. Open the knife with the wide thumb hole and it locks in place thanks to a frame lock. Also notable is the reversible clip for right-handed carry.
Note: Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
