As always the Pilar is great. This is my third Pilar and like he two before it does the job of a edc knife well. Great price and transaction with Massdrop as usual.
Perfect size and very solid. The finger choil is a great feature. This is a very good everyday carry knife and at this price, I sure won’t worry about it getting blemished or lost.
Finger choil is awesome. Very sturdy knife, love carrying it. Looks nice. Easy one hand deployment with large finger hole. Only issue i had with it was i couldnt remove the pocket clip screws to change pocket clip location. Im a lefty so i wanted to switch the clip to the other end and i ended up stripping 2 of my torx bits trying to do so. But CRKT has a great customer service/warrenty service and i just mailed it back to them and they sent me a new one with the clip moved to the lefty tip up carry. Thanks CRKT for a great knife and great service!
Willie1321I really really like this little knife !
I fantasize of the high-end (titanium, quality steal, sweet bearings, etc) version of this, but of course, that’s not CRKT’s niche.
I have much ‘nicer’ EDC knives that are often less likely to find their way into my pocket, than this functional, enjoyable, stout little tool.
Great little knife, especially for the value. Arrives hair-shaving sharp, has plenty of heft to it, and the thickness of the blade combined with the design of it helps it cut just as well if not better than blades in higher price ranges. The knife also fits very easily in your pocket, for left or right handed tip up carry. Definitely a great value.
That being said, there are some things found lacking. A flipper tab would be awesome, especially considering the thumbhole included for deployment is not all that easy for single handed use, particularly those with larger hands. The backspacer was not lined up perfectly with the scales, and required a minor adjustment. There was also some noticeable blade play when closed, however there was none present while open.
All in all, this knife is a great value for anyone who might be looking for one, whether as a standalone knife or as another addition to your collection.
