I guess we are down to selling crap now...If you want to buy crap, why not just go to Ali or DHGate? I have an idea, why not change your name and start selling crap? Oh...thats what you are doing...why not change the recipe for Coke while you are at it.

BladeHQ sells it for $24.99 for one, so the same price except I don't need to buy two. You don't even list what type of stainless steel the blade is made of?!! Blade HQ says it is "stainless steel" too, so it's probably 7Cr17 or 3Cr or some other very low grade stainless. Some commentors say their is 8Cr13MoV - if so then its just at the very lowest that I am willing to go with. It's a big deal, you should list blade material, and why not have DROP do the knife is a special run of D2 or something, otherwise just selling it for the same price as other stores is a waste of our time.

I have the version of this that was sold as the "stubby folding Razel", with goat horn scales, that I got about a decade ago. It's a really sturdy little blade, that I use as a shop utility knife all the time. It's centered well, locks up ridiculously securely, and is capable of a lot of hard work for such a small blade. The steel for mine was 8cr13mov, which isn't great, but has held up well enough over the years. If this blade is made to the same level of quality, I expect it'll be good. But who knows, that was a decade ago.

Why a two pack? I can understand with something like a Mora, because those are like utility knives and you can just keep them everywhere you need one. But a two pack of a pocket clip knife? Are you going to carry one in each pocket? Or is it because the quality is so low that you can swap one out when the first fails? The mind boggles.

bookworm13I have this knife, except with goat horn scales. It's otherwise identical. I got it around a decade ago, and it's held up fine, and gets used in my workshop all the time as a utility blade. Unless the quality has gone down since then, this is a good, and really solid and chunky little blade, even if the steel is on the cheap side (8cr13mov for mine).

bookworm13It won't be great quality - whenever knife manufacturers say "stainless steel", it's going to be 440a or less.

From my local online retailer
  • ”Blade Steel 8Cr13MoV, 58-59 HRC“
on a personal note though. This is missing the graham clip, and it’s tip-down-left-side carry only. Small detail that stopped me from ordering, you might want to consider.
S_limThanks for the info. I'm legitimately surprised that it's 8cr. That's better than I expected since everywhere I've seen lists generic "stainless." As a side note, it's pretty sad that 8cr is a pleasant surprise.

S_limIt's right side carry, not left. I have this in the goat horn version, which is identical aside from the scales. It's a utility knife, not tactical. Can't be bothered which way up it carries.

I hope buying a pair will at least insure that one is centered or can be corrected to be so. I purchased 1 from another source and the blade was so far off center it was touching the frame. By the time I got it close to center it was bound up and would not deploy. I liked this model enough to go to the trouble to reorder and was shocked the second was exactly the same as the first, come on CRKT you have to employ a little QC in your operation. I can't speak to the function of this knife because I was never able to flip it open but the fit and finish was very nice but to bad the blade misalignment made my purchase a wasted effort. This is the reason I stay away from budget US made flippers and I have no idea why they can't employ the same methods as say Ganzo to produce a competitive product and I do not believe labor to be a factor because human interaction in production is minimal so how about placing a minimum wage person at the end off the line to check the performance of these knives before they go into the box, come on now, it ain't that difficult to show you care. The End

Same design with cpm-154 blade, I would pay $50.00 for one . It's a Graham collaboration ,most of us will never have an opportunity to own a true Graham even at the second hand level , so it's kinda insulting at a knife level to see the Razel done this way , at least the last one had a labeled steel (8cr13mov mind you) and not terrible handle this one just their consonants .Maybe Mass Drop or the company formerly known as such should look into a collaboration with the Grahams ,they already have Ochs, and CRKT took his Avant and 8cr-ed it ,Drop and We Knives have already done him better. I think the Razel would have a good market with one off knife buyers as well as knife lovers , one off buyer's might never even know the style exist.
RudolphCompletely agree. There is no way to get a quality production Graham because there's never been one. Customs and $500+ extremely limited midtechs and cricket junk with nothing in between.
Good ol cricket. Design discussion as I imagine it: Designer 1: "Hey people like better materials. Let's make the handle carbon fiber." Designer 2: "But we have to keep the price at $25... " Potted plant in a suit: "I know! let's downgrade the steel from 7cr to "mystery stainless". " All: "PERFECT.!!" *Design team all high fives and goes to the loading dock to sniff glue while the potted plant remains in the conference room quietly scheming his next move*

NotsurewhyibotherThis is sold on Amazon, as well, and the steel is listed as 8cr13mov. Massdrop just kind of sucks at descriptions.

Again crap advertising, what is the steel on these, I can't find it here? Why does Drop keep making these major listing mistakes? Use one ad as a template and make sure you cover the same information for each knife in the same way everytime you write the ad. I couldn't even try make these mistakes it if I wanted to. No one should have to go to other sellers to track down very basic information. Maybe the summer help is writing the ads now.

Thank you for the info. I still am not interested because I have enough cheap knives. I am starting to buy less but higher quality knives. It is hard to resist my like of Bestech lower end knives because I find them to be a good value.

Spokes30Yeah, I haven't bought a budget knife in ages. But I will say, I still use this one, and it holds up. It's a solid utility knife, and I might get another one if I ever lost this one or broke it somehow. I'm not going to be using a $150 s35vn blade for cutting sandpaper or scraping up dried epoxy, you know. Also, I dig the goat horn scales on mine. It's a shame they don't make that version anymore.

I certainly hope CRKT did a better job of QC on this model than they did with their initial model of the Razel. That one was an utter piece of crap. But I have my doubts even site unseen. Carbon fiber scales on a $25 knife? It is either the worst carbon fiber ever or a clear attempt to polish a turd. CRKT’s track record on quality is somewhat less than stellar

JimBofMaineYeah I bought the initial Razel and I immediately returned it. Most of the time when opening it I couldn't even get the liner lock to engage. The pointless manual lock would constantly get in the way. Also had just tons of blade play.

JRussMine the same, like I said just a piece of crap. I will never waste money on anything CRKT makes again
