Can someone tell me about the speedsafe opening system? Where I live butterfly and switch blades are illegal, is this system considered one of those two?

NekonomiconIt depends on your State, but this is not usually considered a butterfly knife or a switchblade. To be safe, check your local laws about assisted opening knives.

NekonomiconIt is not considered to fit in either of those categories, the system was actually designed with that law in mind.
Speedsafe differs from those two assisted opening styles in that the user has to actually touch a fixed point on the blade to open it, rather than simply touching a button, switch, or simply flicking the wrist.

NekonomiconNo it is not. It is the stud on the back of it. It is completely legal in all states. In some the blade may be too big for carry. Move.

Nekonomiconspeedsafe is not considered a switchblade. it's a mechanically assisted blade. there's a difference, apparently.
