I got mine, but it has issues closing. The part that locks seems to maybe be a little too tall, making it difficult to close. Is this inherent in the design?

registered99I feel like unlocking / closing the knife will get easier over time as the steel gets worn down and smoothed out. At the moment, I'm in the same boat as you and need to use both hands to close the knife properly.

RovahOkay, thanks for that. Hopefully it'll be like that. I just didn't want to miss out on the return period and then find out it's not supposed to be like that.

registered99At the end of the day, I'd much rather have a knife where the blade lock fits a bit too snugly and is a pain to close than one where it fits too loosely and you end up with some play in the blade.

LoH_MobiusI just got mine 5 minutes ago and I can't even close it because the framelock is so tight-to the point where only Superman hands can push that tiny protrusion with enough force to budge it. Googling revealed some users who took the knife apart and put it back together with the blade out could cause excessive framelock. Makes me think I got a refurb. A bit disappointed and one of the reasons I'm hesitant about making large purchases on Massdrop...

DJDPIt's not a refurb. Kershaw (or MD) will replace your knife, no problem.

DJDPYeah, I'm noticing the issue get a bit worse. Today I had to jam a cloth-covered quarter in between them before twisting the quarter with pliers in order to open it.

registered99That's not good news and I believe you because it's inherent in the design: the harder you push on the framelock, the deeper it goes and when the lock bar looses stiffness with use, you know what happens...I've been playing with it all day and it's happened twice. Easy fix: stick a key in to pop the framelock out while applying light pressure on the blade in the opposite direction. I still love the design and the TiCN finish and it's still great for the price for someone abroad (although not liking the fact that it's Made in China and I bought this brand esp. because I thought they were all made in the USA). Reading the warranty papers in the box, I'd have to ship it back to the US for a replacement. I could just get another knife!

DJDPUnlikely, if it's that bad contact Kershaw for a replacement.

LoH_MobiusI spoke to mass drop and they stated that the knife was designed to be this hard to close. A call to kershaw had them recommending me to send it in for repair. I'm not really sure it's worth it as shipping it would cost almost a forth of the cost of the knife.

registered99Try loosening and tightening the pivot point a few times, then just playing with it. Mine had a few issues that were resolved from doing that.
