Product Description
You’ve grown tired of the standard Apple trackpad or the cheapo Windows mouse. Function keeps petering out, the scrolling never satisfies, and you’re ripe for an upgrade, you can feel it in your fingers Read More

I got the L-Trac with 2 external switch jacks in black with no led backlighting. This is the best trackball I've ever used. Besides the fact that I feel like I don't need to clean it as often as the other trackballs I've had, the ability to use a billiard ball is a fun little extra, and the possibility of wiring up your own buttons (instead of buying the ones that they offer) is also a fun little extra. The switch jacks are very useful even if you were to only use them as mouse 4 and 5 (which is what they are by default if I remember correctly) and the Superior-X software lets you customize them to pretty much anything you might need. If it can't be done in the software there is always AutoHotkey.

Unfortunately, this trackball did not provide me clearly superior color coordination.

I love this trackball. Built like a tank and very precise, I use it every day when programming. I got the extra slots for breakout buttons, but I never use them so I may recommend against reaching for the upgrade. I got the vintage cream color and it looks and feels like something that came out of the mid 90's, which is a good thing.
The scroll wheel on it is lifechanging

great trackball plus a bit of timetravel (needs cleaning every 2 months like an old mouse, the recommended fast spinning for cleaning doesn't do the job, you need a screwdriver to open the trackball)

I really like mine. It is huge compared to a mouse, but actually requires less desk space since it doesn't move. Sensitivity is great. I much prefer to trackpad

Not bad but the "wheel" for scrolling is too high and forces you to take the hand of the ball. I definitely prefer the Kensington Expert mouse rotating dial around the ball, you can scroll without moving the hand. For this reason I tend to still use my mouse a lot.

Good quality product. Easy to take apart and clean and pretty sturdy. Mouse wheel is smooth and fast. Not recommended for playing videogames. Strangely large. Adjustable DPI.

Nice solid trackball bought to replace a Kensington slimblade that died. The only problem with it is I now want to buy another one to replace the Kensington 'Expert Mouse' trackball on my work machine.
