I'm going to experiment with mine with new / better bearings. It shouldn't be too difficult to glue some decent ball bearings in place there. With decent bearings, this trackball has real potential, I think.
Of course the POM bearings it has are a significant upgrade from a normal consumer trackball. Part of why it's clearly superior.
