DevDThe Stone Series knives are made in Japan. The design is by Curtis Stone, but they are produced by Yaxell.

DevDYaxell is made in Seki Japan. They use real Takefu VG10, not generic vg10. Yaxell is very highly thought of in professional circles. Curtis stone, not so much. He's a good TV personality. Yaxell will geive you as good or better quality than Shun at less price pn their regular production knives. I have no idea about this one, but the fit and finish will be good, no matter how the rest of the knife is
