This is my first santoku, I have held and used 2 santokus in the past an 8 inch and one like this. I'd rather purchase an 8 inch but it wasn't an option and it's ok. I knew what size I was getting.
Handle is nice a grippy, like the smooth Grove in transition between the blade and handle, where you hold the knife.
P.S. I am a restaurant cook and get to prep a lot, I've made lots of use out of this from veggies to protein, so yeah, it works. Also logo is on the other side of the blade
