Custom Topre Keycap Set

Massdrop and Topre are proud to present the first-ever Community-designed keycap set for the Ferrari of keyboards: the Realforce. Produced according to the highest Japanese standards set by Topre itself, these keycaps offer the same typing experience as the original set—no lousy clones!

In light of the hugely successful Topre PBT Spacebar drop a few months ago, we are glad to bring the same high-quality keycap to this set. Designed one by one to ensure alignment and balance, the keycaps feature dye-sublimated legends with a modern typeface that matches the iconic modifiers. While this custom set will ship with an ABS spacebar, we will include a long-lasting PBT spacebar—no more shiny ABS! Finally, Topre really wanted to make this a special drop for the community. They have provided an option to add-on a set of WASD (with side printed arrow legends) + Arrows + ESC keycaps —all these—designed explicitly for Topre switches and the Tokyo Game Show.

Well-known keyboard expert Matt3o coordinated an interest check on GeekHack. A few weeks later, he presented a simple and stylish design that received the Community’s approval. The set is compatible with full-size and tenkeyless Realforce boards, but because this is only the beginning of a tight collaboration with Topre, we’ll release more sets in the future that support a wider range of keyboards.
