I'm a owner of the custom version of Ei.xx. Based on my experience, ei.xx doesn't have the best sound isolation/seal among all the CIEMs I have, however, ei.xx can still beat SE846 (which is recoginized to have very good seal and sound isolation) in sound isolation. Actually, as a CIEM can fill all the concha area, it actually provides some kind of overear-headphone experience. Also, since the CIEM tightly touches your ear canal, it not only provides you bass from air vibration, but also from some Osteoacusis effects. For now, the bass quality of Ei.xx can smash all the IEMs I have, universal ones and custom ones, including JH PRO13, UE11, SE846, IE80 and W4R. The only drawback of a custon IEM is that sometimes it just doesn't fit in your ear, which is really annoying.
Most ciem makers offer a free re-fit within a time period.
