Massdrop has partnered with CustomArt to bring you a CIEM with a sound signature that's sure to please. The Ei.XX is packed full with six balanced-armature drivers per ear (two super low, two low, one tweeter and one super tweeter), all working in perfect harmony via a four-way crossover design. Armed with the latest tech in the field, the Ei.XX’s innovative design even implements a new super-tweeter driver that just recently hit the market in 2015. And if you prefer universal IEMs, CustomArt has those as well.
Note: At checkout, you'll be able to customize a variety of features (see "Options" section below). For custom IEMs, you’ll need to visit an audiologist for ear impressions. After the drop ends, you'll be responsible for having impressions made with an audiologist and sending them to Custom Art in Warszawa, Poland (address will be provided).
Or, you can choose universal IEMs. As these are handmade to order with your desired colors and graphics, please expect a 3-week turnaround and note we cannot accept returns. Also note that universal IEMs may not fit everyone, and they aren't covered by the refit warranty. For this option, canals will be the same color as the shell. This drop is limited to 40 total units.
Ordering: Custom in-ear monitors are like custom suits. They need to be tailored to your body. So as part of the ordering process, you'll need to visit an audiologist for ear impressions. Then, you’ll need to mail those impressions to the Custom Art lab in Warszawa, Poland (address will be provided). Your impressions must be received three weeks after the drop completes, or the offer will be null and void.

This custom earphone was developed with specific goals and a carefully selected sound signature in mind. It takes inspiration from the research done by Dr. Olive at Harman, which found that a smooth frequency response with extended bandwidth along with a bass lift (simulating an accurate loudspeaker calibrated in a listening room) produces the most favorable results in an earphone. Expect the Ei.XX to mirror these efforts by delivering amazing extension into the tight, controlled sub-bass region, plus smooth mids, textured highs, and a deep soundstage that propels focused imaging with detailed, accurate sound.
