Mil_PickleIf you're a beginner then you don't need this. You make picks if you need good ones. Piano wire, hypodermic needles, gallium, spring steel,
We would suggest a "starter" pick set such as the Southord MPXS-14. I believe this is a set that is sometimes available right here as a drop, though offered by another seller. You can always do a Google search for this.

This looks like a really fun challenge for kids. What lock picking set, or other tools, is suggested to go along with this?
From the seller: I should add that both cutaway and standard KIK lock cylinders are accepted by the Cyclops, though it has been intentionally optimized through its design to be ideal for cutaway models.

Does anyone know how good the compatibility of this is? Does it work with pretty much every cutaway lock or only a few brands?

AndreNFrom the seller: The Cyclops stand is compatible with all "KIK" (key-in-knob) lock cylinders, regardless of brand. KIK cylinders are those most commonly found inside deadbolt and keyed knob-or-lever hardware. The illustration is the best way to see what KIK cylinders look like -- they all look the same even though there may be very slight differences in overall dimensions from one lock style to another. The Cyclops is NOT compatible with mortise cylinders, rim cylinders or anything, for that matter, that is not in fact a key-in-knob lock cylinder.

Can anyone who already had this provide some feedback?
Hey everyone - This drop almost sold out in two days, thanks to @GSRenterprises for making 30 more units available!
From the seller: FYI, the lock included in this kit is a Kwikset/Weiser 5-pinned cutaway with a fairly challenging combination. The included key's bow shape may be either the conventional Kwikset pattern or a square head - either way, the keyway is identical for all practical purposes. A second key, which is INCORRECT for the specific lock you receive, is also included and is intended as an educational visual aid, to demonstrate why an incorrect key will not operate the lock.

GSRenterprisesHello GSRenterprises, I'm getting this as a fun learning tool for my young teen kids. What lock picking tool is suggested to go along with this?
