How does this compare to the AudioQuest Dragonfly?
http://www.amazon.com/AudioQuest-DragonFly-Digital-Analog-Converter/dp/B00882U782/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383545948&sr=8-1&keywords=audioquest+dragonfly
The dragonfly is newer, and from what I've read.. the dragonfly dethrones this DAC as the best DAC in this class. In fact, people say the dragonfly beats almost every DAC out there up to 1000$! Anyone have experience with these two? I really wish massdrop would do a dragonfly drop.

...and people put the HRT microstreamer on top of the Dragonfly, at this point I have my eyes on the HRT and waiting for the next Massdrop.
A new crop of Amp/Dac incoming includes ALO Island, the GEEK, Resonessence Labs Herus and I'm pretty sure quite a few others, most of those are pricy, requires driver install for Windows (won't fly at work) and/or high noise floor for IEM use.
At this point I still consider HRT microstreamer to be the king of the hill in terms of value for sound.

Just google "HRT microstreamer vs dragonfly" and you'll get loads of result.
For example here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/656072/hrt-microstreamer
You get ppl say things such as "Enter the MicroStreamer. I've had it about 5 days now with maybe 30 hours of head time. I'm in love. It seems to right the wrongs of the DF, but I can't quite say it bests the ME or will esp. once the impedance issue is corrected." and "I recently auditioned the Microstreamer and Dragonfly - sound quality wise, I greatly preferred the Microstreamer. Considerably more life and dynamics to my ears, whereas the Dragonfly was more restrained."
You might see people mentioning PC problem with the HRT, however if you read later replies you'll see that it's just buffering setting being set too high in the music players, which interferes with async USB audio, lower it below 50 solves the issue.
