Originally debuted in the 1980s as a lightweight alternative to traditional, heavy-duty hikers, the Danner Jag boots are fit for everything from casual treks around town to more substantial trail hikes. Both have an upper that's made from suede and abrasion-resistant nylon while the mid-top boots come with a Danner Dry waterproof coating that locks water out while allowing sweat and heat to pass through. The EVA midsole offers plenty of cushioning and won’t break down over time, while the three-layer, open-cell polyurethane midsole helps dissipate heat and circulate air. Finally, Danner’s classic waffle outsole adapts to a variety of terrain, from sidewalks to sand to dirt trails.
Note: At checkout, choose the low-top Jag boots (base price) or the mid-top Jag boots (+ $20) in men’s size 8–12 or 13.
