sounds good
Definetly needs alot of burn in as at first i had a buzz in my right channel but after 72 hours of burn in it was gone. Sounds great with the stock tubes with my made in ireland 6xx's. Widens the soundstage a little, will update when I tube roll. edit 1: I got a sed winged c new old stock power tube and it sounds amazing, everything sounds clearer and the is lower noise floor. You should definetly tube roll this if you can. edit 2:replaced the preamp tube with a electro-voice tube and it sounds amazing widens the soundstage, makes echos even more pronounced. Definitely worth tube rolling if you can afford it. edit 3: The blue led has stopped working but the amp still works. edit 4: the led works when it feels like it edit 5: I highly recommend getting socket savers
check
Would recommend to a friend.

For the tube upgrade, you should get a Winged-C to go in the 6AS7 power tube slot, and a Psvane to go in the 6SN7 driver slot. That's what Feliks Audio uses in theirs, and they cost several orders of magnitude more than what this little amp does. You'll need to give them another burn-in, of course.

IKR! I thought they are a little spendy, myself. I went with a less expensive model by the old company, and saved about $40. Could also have gone with the Northern Electric, and saved even more. Still more than most are probably willing to spend, though. Here's a couple of comparison videos to help you and others choose: (The Sophia is the same as the Northern Electric) He has vids comparing the less expensive tubes, too. Can't hear everything, but can tell a difference.

Northen Electrics are made in China, and imported by a Canadian company which selects the best out of the bunch. They also pay a small fee to add their private branding to the product at the factory. Same thing with the Shu Guang and Psvane tubes. They are imported by Grant Fidelity, in Canada. So, both are the same. Northern Electric is simply using "private-branding". You can look it up.
