How is this for the Senn HD 6XX and the Fostex T-X0? Read tube amps are amazing for the 6XX.
Will I notice a big upgrade from my FiiO E10k on my HD 598 right now?

You'll notice a difference for sure. The E10k is also, definitely, just not as great of an amp. The E10k could be used as a DAC for this, however, assuming you are coming from only the E10k. The Line out on the back would be the way to do this.
Something important to note, however, is the noise floor is higher and the way sound is reproduced is different with tubes. You may prefer to still use your E10k for some things (added benefit to using it as your DAC).

Tube amps are amazing for the 6XXs, but it's not a solid state amp. Solid state amps like your FiiO E10k are meant for neutrality and "this is what your music was produced to sound like."
Tube amps take what you know about your music and change it. They add warmth and alter the sound in such a way that solid state amps will not do. However, the 6XXs (I have the 650s) pair so well with the DV, they are by far my favorite headphones to listen to with tubes. And then you can get into tube rolling, which can allow you to change the sound to your liking.
*Note: Low Impedance headphones will have roughly a 5 dB drop in the bass. TH-X00s sound like garbage (IMO) on the DV.

No idea why this is the case for the DV, other tube amps do not have the same issue so you could say it has something to do with the internals. There are plenty of mods out there for the DV if you look hard enough, just gotta be a bit of a DIYer to get the job done.

Hey Gadget man, I wouldn't personally say they improve the sound so much as they change the sound. You can get into all the science behind it with the different odd distortion of tubes and even distortion with solid state (something along those lines if my memory serves me right, but don't quote me lol).
I do agree they make the sound different and also IMO more enjoyable with the warmer , drippy honey vocals as I always explained it. Just gushes, all these adjectives that don't make sense.
I am glad you found what you like, I feel I'm still searching for that perfect balance. The HD650s are the best headphones I've found to listen to on tubes, most noticeable undeniable difference in sound. Especially running a Sylvania 6080 and Sylvania VT231 in the DV.
