Fired up my amp today and there was immediately a buzzing sound with nothing plugged in on the left channel and one of the tubes started frosting. It started smelling like burnt electronics too.. Pretty disappointed :(

When did order yours? Mine still has "order placed with vendor" as the status.
Also, sorry to hear about the lemon.

Ordered it on July 1st. Surprised it came so fast.
I let it cool off after the first run and reseated the tubes. It looks like it's running fine now with no hum and no burning :D. Looks like it needed some breaking in but I suppose the smell of burnt electronics is not a good thing..

Well that's good to hear!
Did you get notified for tracking, or did it just randomly show up one day?

I got a notification for the drop status and then the tracking number showed up 1-2 days after that.

I just powered mine on and started noticing the burning smell as well. Discovered that the tubes were running super hot. I've only had experience w/ a Little Dot I+ so I have no idea if this is normal or not. No hum though

After my first run I let it sit for a little while and then powered it up again. Seems like the burning smell was gone after that. Looks like it needed some breaking in.

It is normal. The Little Dot 1+ is a hybrid between an tube amp and a solid state amp. What that means is that the little dot uses tubes only to colour the sound. however the dv336se uses the tubes themselves to drive your headphones, thats why they get so hot.

If you are using the tubes that came with it this is very common, you'll get much better sound out of it. I linked two tubes I've had very good luck with and are what I usually use in another comment on this.

Thanks! Not sure if I want to break the bank again. Getting a quick replacement to see if I can get rid of the buzzing and then I'll do a deeper dive on the tubes.. Fairly new at this.

I know for a fact these are good consistently. I've tried 3 of them and no hum, can find them on eBay cheaper used, just be sure they test good and the seller has good feedback.
