What was the lowest price this hit during the last drop? I was considering getting it but the drop ended. I am waiting for the HD6XX's to ship in December. I think this might be a great amp to pair with them. I have a Little Dot 1+ and AKG Q701s that work very well together. I would like to have only one amp for all my headphone but that appears to be easier said than done. It seems like having one amp for low impedance cans and one for high impedance cans is the best option.
$200 was the lowest point for the last drop.
Also, you can use the pre-out to a solid state.
I was thinking I could use the pre-outs for the Little Dot 1+. If I am understanding correctly I would run RCA's from the source to the 336SE's inputs then run the pre-outs to the Little Dot 1+.
If I do that will I need to have the 336SE on to use the Little Dot1+? Will the volume or gain change with the Little Dot 1+ since the source will be running through the 336SE?
Shouldn't, It's just a line out, but should still give you tubiness. ( new word). My ld mk3 has gain switches, and good tubes to start. I use my akg712 pros and M560 planar with no prolems. My senn 650s love tubes. The pre out to my active yam 5s. Check to see if the dark voice has some internal gain switches. Ps. It's always good to have a solid state. Is the ld 1 a hybrid? Ld mk3 $225? From manufacturer. 3 or 4 days from Hong Kong, If I'm remembering correctly. Anyways, do some research. Let me know what you end up doing. Ok? Well wishes!
The Little Dot 1+ is a hybrid. I have considered a solid state amp but so far I have been very happy with the Little Dot 1+ with low impedance cans. I really don't have a need for a solid state amp at the moment. I will need an amp for the HD6XXs which is why I am considering the 336SE.
Ok. Basically, the ld1 is solid state. So the pre-outs push a very low signal and will operate as normal. Have fun!
Ps. I do believe everything has to be on to run the pre.
