So, I received my Massdrop Darkvoice 336SE today! I listened briefly with the stock tubes that everyone seems to not like. I thought they were OK. So, then I swapped out some tubes that I'd already bought for the occasion. I plugged in the the PsVane 6NS7, among others. I noted that the 6NS7 don't glow nearly as much as the 6AS7. BUT...BUT..BUT....I couldn't detect ANY glow on the Psvane 6sn7! Is that normal? Btw I'm running a SINO,6AS7 power tube and having easily detectable hum at low levels, volume of hum doesn't change with the volume control, knob.,So, is all this normal during break-in? Suggestions?

Were you on the drop with the estimated ship date of Feb 2, 2018?

I was on that particular drop and I received mine today. Plugged it in with the stock tubes and started listening immediately. It sounds great with no hum. I have two sets of alternate tubes to try when the stock tubes get broken in.

Mine was delivered 1/24/2018 from a drop that was still active in December. Turns out that the Psvane tube does glow, but mine wasn't detectable with the other tube glowing in even a slightly darkened room. Not until I had the tube running by itself could I detect a glow. That said, when coupled with Sennheiser HD700, I much preferred the sound of NOS Sylvania 6sn7gt. The stock tubes really were surprisingly good, but I'm running a run of the mill Sino 6AS7 and that NOS Sylvania 6sn7gt with IMHO stellar sound. No desire to change it out. I'm using the LG V30 cellphone with hifi spec quad sacs, either flat or enhanced Eq settings along with a bass booster app. I'm sure someone out there is aghast that I'm using eq adjustments, but that's how I like it.
