View Full Discussion So I received my DarkVoice Today but theres a buzzing issue ): i even burned it for hoours and there still is buzzing sound. Possibly defective? It’s buzzing on right ear and just a bit on left Ear. I used HD 800 and HD598 and they both have it. Any ideas? It happens even at 0 volume.
Mines the same, though I've heard some people say its either the stock tubes or it just needs to be burned in for a while. Like a loooong while anywhere from 24-72 hours . Haven't swapped out the tubes yet but while I'm waiting on replacements I'm just leaving it on with nothing playing
Is it buzzing for you without even anything plugged in other than power? Let me know if not, I'll have to get replacement. It sounds like an electrical/transformer issue but I hope not.
I’ve had it on for about a day and the hum has dropped quite a bit, I think after another day or two it should be completely gone. But yes so far the hum is still there it’s just significantly lower
There are no replacements. Massdrop’s business model here is flawed if you ask me. Mine arrived with broken switch and blowing fuses, won’t even turn on. All they can do is issue refunds upon receipt back. I have no choice but to fully research future purchases with regards to this. I think Massdrop Made is handled differently. I have no clue and again am forced to further research if I’m to keep buying here.
Try unplugging the USB audio to the SMSL and use optical. I had the same issue. It was interference from my computer coming through the USB cable.
Too bad my computer does not have any optical port or some sort.
okay so I got rid of the buzzing issue. However the right ear volume I’ll sounds lower compared to other amps I tested. Anyone have issues with that thing ? It shouldn’t be the cables since I tested different RCA cables. I don’t know why it’s doing these
Now that is weird, no idea what would be the cause of that other than your computers EQ maybe. If you don't mind my asking how did you get rid of the buzzing? Burning it in? After about three days for me the buzzing is almost nonexistant but the OCD in me can still hear the faintest hum and its driving me crazy.
I burned it in for hours and hours. I can hear the buzz on my hd 598. However, I don’t hear it on my hd800. Possibly because one is 50ohms and my hd 800 is 300 ohms. It’s not the eq since they’re all perfect on my other amps.
My NOS Tubes arrived. I tell you what it sounds much better than the stock. so far no issues unlike with stock tubes
