Arrived yesterday. Packaging was perfect, no mishaps whatsoever. Stock tubes - sound perfectly fine. I then tried a NOS Tung Sol 6SN7GTB. The TS tube sounded marginally better, but I can't explain why. I also tried a Raytheon 6SN7GT (also NOS, I inherited thousands of tubes from my dad, have had four 6SN7's on Ebay for over a year, glad they didn't sell). Raytheon was as good as Tung Sol, but I didn't notice a difference between them. Then it was time for the power tube. I had planned on a Bottlehead build so I had two 6080 tubes I set aside. One a used GE, and another no-name. The GE was noisy, and the generic one was good, but I see no improvement over the stock tube. I need to do more detailed listening, and use another DAC. The initial tests were done with the following source(s). FLAC files -->NuForce MuDac2 -->DV336-->HD6XX. Also used 24bit 96Khz files (Aix Records, Laurence Juber) with same path. Will try it with my Aune T1 Mk 2. If I get motivated, I will hook it up to my tape out on my tube amplifier so I can do vinyl source (my Knight amp uses 7025's in the phono stage).
Overall impressions, solid build, finish is excellent, all connectors are solid and perfect. I don't think the LED is too bright. I really like the feel of the volume knob. Best amp I have with the HD-6XX's, I am very glad I took the plunge on this amp, the value is simply astounding. Granted it has only been about 5 hours of actual listening, but after seeing the inside of this amplifier, I am confident I could fix anything that goes awry. If I didn't already have the other tubes lying around I would be very happy with the stock tubes. I ordered an adapter to use 6BZ8 tubes (amongst others) and will try the brand new Sylvania's and Tung Sols I also have. They won't look as cool as the 6SN7's, but they may sound even better... Super Happy! UPDATE-- One week in and still loving this amp. I had a chance to use it with my Aune T1 Mk II DAC, streaming FLAC files from my Plex Server as well as Google Play. Amp is dead quiet with stock power tube and NOS USA Made (GE?) 6080. With the Aune driving the amp into my HD-6XX's I can not comfortably listen above the 9 o'clock position. I would estimate I have about 15 hours on this amp. Still using the Tung Sol driver tube, but will 'burn in' some of my noisier tubes when I feel the need to roll some more tubes. Also I have an adapter to use other drivers which I have laying about.

I had to burn in my Tung Sol 6SN7GTB for about 72 hours to get it quiet. Just FYI . I use an RCA 6AS7G power tube and also picked up shanguang treasure pre amp tube. It was pricey, but worth it. Combined with the RCA there is detail, wide soundstage and hard hitting snare and kick drum. It’s the only way to listen to the 6xx.

If I got one of those treasure tubes, I would just stare at it and get no work done! So pretty. Tube 'burn in' is so random. I had a USA Tung Sol which was new and dead quiet, a Ken Rad used tube that quieted down after 10 minutes and has been fine since, and an RCA NOS which has yet to settle down (it is the best looking one dammit!), so maybe paint the TS that beautiful brownish red color?
