I just got a email stating that due to a unexpected delay that orders may ship later than the original estimated ship date. This is the 2nd time that this has happened to me. The last drop I cancelled my order and about a week and a half later they shipped. This is frustrating. I have been waiting over 4 months for this Dang thing. I've had one before that lasted a year and a half so I guess it's worth the wait. I have upgraded tubes just waiting...….

Soapman88After 100 hours burn in I changed the big power tube to a RaytheonCK6080 and the front tube to a Raytheon 6SN7GTB and the background was dead silent and the sound was detailed, warm and wide soundstage, My favorite headphones to use were AKG 702's, HiFiMan 400i's(even though most say planar aren't good with tubes) Beyerdynamic DT990's- 250 ohms. The Darkvoice is a powerful amp so it should drive any set of phones you throw at it. It does run very hot so try to keep it in a well ventilated area. I also have a Little Dot MK III and I feel the sound of the Darkvoice is superior. After a year I started having a static issue with the Darkvoice that continued to get worse so I sold it for parts or repairs. I feel it is also important to keep it covered when not in use because I feel dust might have been the cause of my problems with it. Tube rolling with the front tube is fun and expensive-lol. I hope this helps.

Morri2oh nice, this is super helpful thank you. From what i have heard with tube amps and planars its that tube amps are "too powerful" LCD's can handle up to 5 watts. so i think i will be good. I have 2 little dots. the 2 and the 7+ they are good hybrid amps. this is my first full tube ( i think its full tube) . Regardless thanks for the help i appreciate it!
