Question, looking for an amp for my AKG K7XX, my friend recommends that tubes are not good for low impedance headphones. Can you clarify? Will these not sound good?

First off, you don't need an amp. Second, no tube amps are fine for 'low impedance headphones'

My Woo WA7 can do low impedance headphones just fine. There are tube amps that can do low impedance just fine, but you are correct in that most do not. If they are OTL tube amps, then they are pretty much guaranteed to need higher impedance loads.
