Careful on this. The internal build/solder quality is known to be pretty atrocious and the defect rate is abnormally high. I bought one here earlier this year and it started smoking after about 5-10 minutes of use. Other unfortunate users have reported the same. Had to return it. The amp looked lovely though!
Anyone that you came across report what part of the amp the smoke was coming out of? I plan on retrofitting and upgrading the caps and other components, so I figure I might as well shore up some weaker solder joints while im in there
Somewhere toward the rear of the unit on mine, under the power supply. The first bit during warm up smelled like burnt popcorn and became stronger until faint smoke was actually visible. Probably best to have some replacement/spare tubes handy as well, as my driver tube had a nasty buzzing sound in the right channel. Didn't even get to properly test it with my T1 at the time :(
