I really want this amp but my main headphones are the Fidelio x2's which are 30ohm.

This guy is saying that it sounds "heavenly" (username Baycode, about 3/4s of the way down.
I know the impedance is to low for OTL and I would not get the full effect out of them BUT would it actually make it sound worse? I would be really happy to hear from someone who might have first hand experience with the X2 on an actual 336se.

steve3236I have Philips X2 and darkvoice 336. But I bought 336 to drive my 600 ohm beyerdynamic T1. X2 is very efficient and all my portable device including Fiio X3, AK JR , Beyerdynamic A200p and Bravo Ocean can drive X2 beautifully. All those devices give more details than tube darkvoice 336 does ( changing to vintage tube like Raytheon or gray VT-231 will help but don't expect the tube amps has the same amount of details as solidstate amps. ) I won't recommend 336 for X2 unless you have extra money to buy vintage tubes and looking for the less details but warmer tube sound.
