So i have HD650s and DT-880s (600) running off an Aune T1. Would this be a worthwhile improvement. Also looking at the Asgard 2 if anyone has compared them.

I have an Asgard 2 right now and it is a pretty good amp, but also solid state. It sounds great and can also work as a speaker pre amp because of the rca outs (the darkvoice might have this too?). The Asgard 2 also has a gain switch for IEMs or other low impedance headphones. I've been using the Asgard 2 with some in ears and they really come to life.
I imagine your Aune T1 would sound awesome with the Darkvoice, but only if you are looking for that stereo typical tube sound.
It boils down to the Asgard being more of an all rounder and the Darkvoice being more niche in their uses. Personally, for $219 the Darkvoice sounds like a no brainer, but the Asgard 2 can be found on Amazon for $200 (B-stock units from Schiit). So you really have to evaluate what you are going to do with the amp and what you want from it.

Yes. My general rule of suggestion to anyone with Sennheiser HD6XX is to pair it with OTL tube amps. I don't get the "magic" happening when I pair my HD650 with the Aune T1. I also tried it with the Asgard 1, and so I can't imagine it being too far off compared to the Asgard 2 sound wise. I didn't like it either for my taste.
The only solid state amp I was ever impressed with was the Burson Soloist for the HD650.
