Nice, warm, comfortable Socks. I don't give 5 stars unless they walk on water.

Sure it's a littel pricy...
but it's the best pair of socks I've ever tried. And as long as you don't lose it, you'll always be able to get replacements. My feet are comfortable, and even during hard work, they don't get sweaty.

Exactly as advertised
These are the hiking and winter socks for me. They are incredibly comfortable, warm, and not itchy. I took them camping in northern California in January and my feet were happy the whole trip, both when hiking and in my sleeping bag. I have size 11 1/2 men's feet and the x-large are great, I could easily see them working fine too on a feet a few sizes larger too.

Good so far
So far so good. I'm constantly walking, and avoiding blisters require good socks. I've used SmartWool, Costco's, and other brands. They all fit well and look well made. Some of the SmartWool socks have fallen apart (some still in good shape), and the Costco Merino Wool socks have developed fuzz but are still quite functional. The Darn Tough are still looking good. It's only been 2 months, so I'll wait to see if they hold their value in the long run.

Nice socks
These fit me so much better than the same size full length crew sock. They're soft and super comfy, what more can I say?

Go- to socks for hiking
Just the right mount of cushion. Good blend of merino and synthetic ( for durability). Good ankle coverage but low enough you don’t look like a nerd (except I do wear the crew as well). I wear merino blends almost exclusively all year round for both outdoor and casual wear. I rarely wear synthetics or cotton anymore. I also wear Icebreaker, Smartwool, Bridgedale etc but Darn Tough are my go-to thru hike socks because I know I won’t blow a toe out in three weeks

Excellent choice
Every bit as good as wool sport socks by Point 6, IMO. Durable and cushioned, but not too thick for sneakers or light hiking shoes. All day comfort.

Only about 21 days late in seeing this reply (Merry Christmas Day, BTW). I haven't made any conscious decision to boycott or otherwise say adios to Drop, but it has kinda worked out that way I suppose. I'm not positive that I haven't stopped by just to browse since my last post in this thread above, but I don't think I have. As regards requesting a refund, to tell you the truth, I might be a little sketchy trying to put it all back together in my mind, but I'll try. I think they (Drop) got a hold of me privately and offered a refund without my having to ask. I know I ended up with the socks, but I'm not real clear on the details, like why or how. I do remember wanting to try this model because I knew of a site selling them at a very good price ("good" defined as more than $8 bucks per pair less than even the sale prices of most sites) as their every-day price. If I remember this part right, the likely reason I kept the one pair from Drop is that the low-priced alternative was out in my size for the time being, but they assured me they were getting some in within a couple or three weeks, which they did. I had a particular reason for needing a sock like this. I never wore 1/4 socks in my whole life before I got that one pair. They were a tad tighter than I wished they were, but they felt good and worked better than any other socks I had that was for the particular reason previously mentioned. I ended up ordering two pair from the great-daily-price vendor, and when they got here, I found out how that vendor managed to sell them all the time at that price...... They were counterfeit!!! I found that out by sending one of the pair into Darn Tough because of some flaws on them, and they called me back so they could talk me through looking at a couple of things on the counterfeit pair I still had here, plus the pair I'd gotten from Drop (which were not counterfeit) and sho' 'nuff, it was as obvious as obvious can be that they were faked. All in all, it took me like four months to end up with five pairs of non-counterfeit socks and one pair that was counterfeit, 1 ordered from here, 2 fakes ordered from the vendor, only one of which Darn Tough would replace and they kept the fake pair I sent them, so that was up to four pair, and then the vendor had no idea what Darn Tough and I had worked out, so they sent another two pair of what appear to be real, honest to goodness Darn Tough socks plus a $10-off coupon for my next order. All in all, I made out like a bandit, so I hadn't even thought about the troubles I had at first hardly at all until I popped in here tonight and saw your post. So the short answer is, nope, I neither asked for nor accepted the refund that Drop offered me for the original order. At 65 years old, with health issues that would be 10 Xs as complicated as the sock issues to explain, I've decided it has to be something real important and injurious to me and/or my wife before I'll get pissed off anymore. It wouldn't totally surprise me if, when that time comes, Drop was involved somehow, but this little thang wasn't it, so there ya go.
