fmarI'd consider that too, honestly, BUT...I'm in southern New Mexico, and I'm worried these will be too heavy once the heat hits. That can be mid-April, and it tends to stick til mid-August.

CraigLewisGo with a lighter weight merino from Darn Tough ( or other brands). They use less cushion, not as heavy weight knit
