Just read that soldering quality on the Teamwolf keyboard is not always great, I had two nonfunctional LEDs on mine but no issues on the switches so far. I haven't opened it to look so I'm not sure I'd recommend it as someone's first mech after all.
Yeah, but on the other hand the Teamwolf keyboard is hilariously cheap, I just got mine from Amazon.ca today and no non-functioning LEDs for me, luckily, and it's nice that it comes with an additional set of solo switches (black, blue, brown, and red, all Outemu). So if someone's going to buy a full keyboard to test first instead of a switch tester, it doesn't seem like a bad plan, particularly since it isn't much of an investment.
But on the other hand it's hard to beat having a whole swath of different brands to choose from; everyone's preference is different, and someone might prefer a Gateron blue to a Cherry MX blue, for instance, so having as many as possible to test might be the best bet.
