I messed up and must have added this to my cart and when I ordered some keyboard stuff paid for this too. I am not too annoyed but... What is 4.4mm? My headphones are either 3.5 or 6.3... What do I do with this thing? 2.5mm is such an annoying connector size and 4.4mm I have never even heard of. I am just screwed?

Are you sure about this? DD also sell adaptors that do exactly that. It would seem of to sell a product that will break another of your own products. The DJ30A.

https://www.ddhifi.com/productinfo/142361.html it says specifically it does not short circuit any connections (which is usually the case) so this adapter should work fine. since it's no longer balanced you lose half the output + are no longer protected from ground loops, though. But nice find.

Good Lord, why shape it like a toblerone? I'm no audioquest fan, but didn't they solve this problem?

Why yes, I love a cold plate of DAC dongles. My palate is quite diverse.

Please, sir, may I have more dongles?
I would like to know if this works with a Lightning to USB-C converter?

ddHiFi will soon release a Lightning version (Lightning to 2.5/4.4) as well.

Curious thing, I do own btr5, and I can't find much difference between 2 of them. I would say that btr5 actually a better option, unless you need 4.4 balance output. As I use modular cables, doesn't really bother me

I don't recall running out of juice in phone in a long time. I also use Huawei 27watt wireless charger at home. By no means I say it is a bad product to have, but rather redundant (at least in my case for me). Don't forget when you use this, you use your phone to power iem or headphones. Most cellphone ports are not great at sending power through it. As it is not designed that way. Just sharing my 2 pennies. Thank you for your input and actually also giving a good point

Since the E1DA 9038S exists this and pretty much every other dongle type dac/amp products are dead in the water. At least this one has an interesting functionality to it with the combo 4.4/2.5mm which may give a few people pause, but not really...

Why do you say that the E1DA 9038S is better? The TC44B has dual mono dacs and is cheaper.

It’s not me saying anything - it’s pretty much industry consensus. The TC44B is a DAC/amp dongle. In that space, there’s the 9038S and there’s everyone else. The 9038S is “better” because on the DAC side it’s one of the cleanest measuring DACs around, not just among dongles, but among any DAC out there. It outperforms the TC44B in every way across all measurable metrics. As for the amp section, the 9038S has 3x the power. None of this is opinion, it’s measurable fact. Go research this yourself if you don’t believe me. And the dual mono DAC thing - you can put fancy sports wheels on a Camry, but it’s still a Camry. The 9038S is a Porsche and it doesn’t need fancy wheels to blow away a Camry on the road. Just sayin’.

How high an impedance are we talking? 150ohm v 300ohm v 600ohm is a pretty big difference.
