When I buy from MD I just expect delays. Difference is I'm not a whiny goober and can just play something else. It IS cheaper than MRSP so don't kid yourself. You're not going to get it faster by getting your money back and getting it from somewhere else because the expansion is currently on pre order for EVERYONE. Just wait it's a good bundle and stop taking it so personally.

liluglymaneAh, but I already had the base game... And I still need to re-sell that. Hence it is cheaper for me to buy JUST the expansion...

liluglymaneI think the big problem is that newcomers to MD, aren't expecting delays. I think its reasonable to get upset after expecting a Mid June release, and every update being told we are still waiting. Then almost two months after the expected release, still not knowing if the next update will actually provide any good news. I understand that it isn't MD's fault that their bulk shipment hasn't been supplied to them yet.
In the mean time, its actually cheaper on MM even with shipping (speaking as a US resident). If I would have known it would have taken this long, I could have ordered the first game, had it available to play while I waited on my separate preorder to come in, while still coming out about the same on cost + maybe a dollar or two.
I'm going to wait it out, because there isn't a reason for me to have either of these games "right now", and you're right, it is still a good deal for the most part considering MSRP listings, but I hardly ever pay MSRP for any games unless I'm backing it as a KS project.

Genos27Yeah, I am disappointed mostly because I was expecting it in time for a road trip that I went on with friends. I expect delays in general, but I have never experienced delays like this. I understand it isn't Massdrop's fault - I fully plan on continuing to buy other products from them (though likely not pre-orders). But I was very excited about this drop, and while I was expecting delays, going from mid-June to suddenly "maybe end of September" doesn't seem like a reasonable delay to expect. Had I known that was possible, I probably would have just opted to go buy the full games from my local store.
TL;DR - I understand why people are upset - I will continue to use Massdrop, just not for pre-orders.

liluglymaneI have a convention the first week of September I was planning on taking it to. Everything pointed to me being able to do that. Then no game shipped and radio silence from Massdrop. Not even an "I'm sorry we won't be getting it there on time" Pre-order implies that you are going to receive it at or near the time that it becomes available. Not 3+ months down the road when they feel like getting around to it.
Walked into a store yesterday and left with both games for >$90. What moron still pays MSRP? You can buy both games from Amazon and have them delivered tomorrow. It's not on pre-order for "EVERYONE."
Maybe you can take that $10 you are saving and buy a saddle for that high horse you're so proud of.
