The Deadline Studio Doys Macropad is a quirky little control surface that absolutely exudes playful style and vintage charm. Designed to look almost like an old-school battery-powered radio, this little macropad sports an electro-plated tie rod on the top that looks like a chrome handle and adds a little bumped-out space when you lay it on your desk. Along the left side, you’ll find two separate rotary knob slots—and because the kit ships with two different knob colors, you can mix and match their style. The heart of the macro controllability is an array of eight dedicated hot-swappable switch slots on a PCB that has PORON-sandwiched foam around it to ensure a modern, satisfying typing feel. Nearly as portable as the old-school radios that inspired it, the Doys Macropad connects via USB-C and Bluetooth courtesy of its 600-milliamp-hour battery for increased functionality. You can pick up this pad in one of four colors with your choice of lighting accent—a simple line or a fading matrix-dot array.
