You’re in the market for a fully functional mechanical keyboard, but let’s be honest: that number pad isn’t doing you any good. An 87 key version of Deck’s Francium Keyboard, the Deck 87 Francium Pro Mechanical Keyboard comes with the features and build you’re after and none of the keys you don’t need.
Note: On this drop, you can choose Cherry MX Brown or Blue mechanical switches as well as White or Blue LED backlighting.
A mainstay of the mechanical keyboard scene, Deck Keyboards is infamous for their unique legends and innovative take on backlighting. Instead of going with nondescript Times New Roman or any other generic typeface, the keycaps feature a font that recalls the cover of a fantasy novel without having to resort to embedding dragons. Double shot for extra durability, the keycaps are made of PBT plastic, a material with superior performance that does not normally allow for backlighting. As Deck uses a semi-opaque plastic, they found a way to combine the most desirable type of keycap with the backlighting you can’t function without.
Underneath the keycaps, Cherry MX mechanical switches provide the tactile feedback and quick response time ideal for gaming. Allowing for rapid, aggressive input so you can really slam your keys in that clutch moment, the high polling rate helps make the Deck Hassium Pro a vital element of your gaming setup. As for those LEDs, every key features an individual light that can be programmed to any pattern you can dream up, or set to one of the five pre-programmed lighting modes.
All of that is all and good, but what happens when you get capped by a fourteen year old and slam your board onto the desk? Nothing. Thanks to the strong metal frame supporting the structure, you can do pretty much everything short of taking a hammer to your keyboard with no consequence to the build. The next three computers you run through, the Deck 87 Francium Pro Mechanical Keyboard will still be on your disk, clacking along like age ain’t nothing but a number. At check-out, you have your choice of Cherry MX Brown or Blue mechanical switches as well as White or Blue LED backlighting.
