I used to have something exactly like this 40 years ago. Spiratone I think the brand was ... and a whole $40 plus shipping. But T-mount? who uses that anymore?
FlyingDiscT-Mount is still commonly used to connect DSLRs to telescopes. You need a camera-specific T-ring to attach it. Makes sense this type of lens would use it. Making multiple versions for each brand would raise the cost significantly.

b9d9ffdad3ac59e7f6fIt is called a super telephoto lens. T-mounts are used for super telephoto lenses to dslr cameras

For anyone interested in tracking down reviews or sample images, this lens has also been sold under the brands Bower, Fotga, Kimunor, Vivitar, Opteka, Phoenix, Rokinon, Samyang, Walimex, and a few others. Most of the reviews I've seen have been positive, with the most common observations being that the lens is soft and difficult to use, but good value for money.

i have this lens, it's a fun lens as a joke, i have taken really good pictures of the moon, specially on my crop sensor camera this becomes a 750mm lens. you must have a tripod when shooting this lens.
Nothing says premium quite like f8.

Thrift_First_Retail_LastI don't see the word premium anywhere in the posting. Nothing about it seems premium from the universal portion to the T-mount portion. The T-mount more or less says it's manual focus manual aperture.

I had a lens that looked a lot like this one - probably the same with a different label. It was completely manual. No auto focus, and I couldn't control aperture from the camera. Picture quality was a couple of steps below the telephoto zoom lens that comes with most DSLR cameras. I had similar results with a cheap telescope and a T-mount adapter.

I had a 400mm f6.3 version 40 years ago that cost me $49. This is probably a basic preset lens, Petzval design that has been around for decades. If it is a preset lens, it has auto NOTHING. For the price, though, it can be fun to play with, especially since it was originally designed to cover a full 35mm frame, and as a preset lens with an inexpensive T adapter will fit almost any interchangeable lens camera. Just remember what $70 will buy.

Can I adapt this to my iPad mini? Does anyone know if it'll auto focus?

viramanIt appears to be a manual focus lens that can be easily adapted to mirrorless camera.
