I'm a little confused... the overview says this watch has the Seiko NH35 movement, but the specifications state it has a Miyota 8315 movement. Now Deep Blue's website lists the Master 1000 as utilizing the NH35, but all the Master 1000s have a different dial with completely different indices. So.. which is it? What watch is this?
The overview is probably wrong, and you're looking at the wrong watch on DB's website. The DB Master 1000 2.5 does indeed list the Miyota 8315 movement: https://www.deepbluewatches.com/ma102560hopo3.html

TigoleSo this drop is actually for the Master 1000 2.5??? Well, it's at a healthy discount compared to its list price on their site...
I actually prefer the cleaner look of the plain Master 1000. With the chapter ring and indices on the 2.5, the watch looks too "busy" for my tastes.
It appears to be the Master 1000 2.5 from the pictures. The Miyota 8315 movement seems to be new as well--only a few months old--and judging from the age of the older comments here, it looks like someone from MD re-purposed an old listing for the Master 1000 for this drop.
The advantages the 1000 2.5 has over the 1000 are 60 hrs power reserve vs 41, and a lumed ceramic bezel vs un-lumed stainless steel.
Pricing-wise, DB constantly has a 40% off promotion--the current promo code is "BLUE". With the promotion, DB's price for the 1000 2.5 is $350, so this drop is $50 cheaper. If you prefer the 1000 instead, just order it directly from DB then. Their price on the SS bracelet is $332, but after the promotional discount, it's $200.
TigoleEverything about this watch is great except for the 8315 movement inside. I was one of the first to purchase one of these from their website when first launched. The movement is indeed new and Deep Blue is one of the only companies testing it atm. However, I hated the movement because the second hand constantly stops whenever you move or stutter the watch. They said it was normal because the movement was designed to absorb impacts and use it to help charge the watch. I ended up swapping for another watch as it drove me nuts seeing the second hand stop and speed up all the time. Still kept perfect time, just really annoying.

GideonHI'm not worried. This is not the model I was looking for--I was hoping it was the regular Master 1000. But at $300, it wouldn't have been a bargain for that model as it retails for around $340 with the bracelet. I used the coupon code on Deep Blue's website and jumped on the Master 1000 for around $200.
Now, for the Master 1000 2.5, $300 is a great deal and I hope people jump on it.

TigoleThanks again for the heads up on the promo code. My new Deep Blue Master 1000 arrived on Friday.

With the bracelet option plus a black silicone strap and shipping, it was around $225. It's a nice looking watch, I love the black sunray dial.
